Zellige is a traditional glazed decorative tile, handcrafted in Morocco. The essence of Zellige is the irregularity of surface appearance, tone, flatness, thickness, shine, depth and colour.
Each Zellige tile is unique.

Authentic Handcrafted Zellige Tiles
Our Zellige tiles are handmade by specialist craftsmen at our workshops in Tangier. This traditional tile is made from raw, light-coloured unrefined clay sourced from the from the region of Fez (Morocco). This natural clay is mixed with water, shaped by hand and then sun-dried.
After a first firing, the biscuit - called Bejmat - is glazed, tile by tile, in a wide variety of colours. The final stage of production is the cutting or chiselling of these glazed pieces into the different shapes and sizes. Each tile of Zellige is a unique piece.
This intricate process ensures that each Zellige tile, with its subtle imperfections, brings unique character and craftsmanship to any design; kitchens, bathrooms, commercial, retail, hospitality and more. Delivery in Ireland, across the EU and worldwide.
